Meet The Staff

 Katie Andersen
Katie has worked in the dental field for 15 years and is one of our dental hygienists. She loves getting to know her patients personally and keeping up with their lives over the years. She has known her husband, Taylor since they were five and three years old! They have been married since 2014 and now have two busy,  sweet boys, Aidan and Camden. When Katie is not in the office you can find her spending time with her family, enjoying a sweet treat, or reading a good book.

 Melissa Holton
Melissa has been a dental hygienist for 35 years. Her favorite thing about her job is making people feel better about their smiles and helping patients take the best care of their teeth that they can. When Melissa is not working, she enjoys playing tennis, cooking, and raising beautiful Ragdoll kittens.

 Missy Taylor
Missy has been a dental hygienist for 36 years, including 25 years at this office. She loves getting to know her patients and teaching them how to care for their teeth and gums. It makes her so happy to see improvement in her patient’s dental health from one appointment to the next. In her free time, Missy likes to spend time with her family, play tennis, work in her yard, and travel.

 Amy Harris
Amy has lived in Vanceboro her entire life and has worked in the dental field for 26 years. She is likely the first voice you hear when you call our office as well as the first face you see when you check-in for an appointment. She enjoys getting to speak with and learn more about all of our patients. When Amy is not at work, she likes to spend time with her husband, Mike, and her daughters, Hannah and Addison. She also has four very entertaining pets: two dogs and two cats.

 Tammie Casey
Tammie has been working in the dental field since she was 19 years old, starting as a dental assistant and eventually moving to the front office. She is originally from Hawaii, but now calls eastern North Carolina home where she lives with her husband, daughter, son, and mom. In the office, she loves helping patients realize that creating a beautiful, healthy smile is affordable and obtainable. Out of the office, Tammie can usually be found doing some sort of DIY project around her house.

 Kathy Hargett
Kathy is a certified dental assistant and has been in dentistry for 42 years. She loves getting to know patients and enjoys learning new techniques and procedures that will make treatment easier. She has three daughters who all followed her into the dentistry field. When she is not spending time with one of her eight grandchildren, you can find Kathy relaxing at the beach and enjoying a good book.

 Jessica Bennett
Jessica is a dental assistant who has been in dentistry since 2014. She has really enjoyed learning about new developments in the field over the years.  She grew up in the Bridgeton area and has been married to her high school sweetheart for nine years. They have two beautiful children, Isabella and Colton, as well as two cats and a dog. Outside of work, she enjoys hanging out with family and friends, fishing, going to the beach, and spending time outdoors.

 Kathy Woodcock
Kathy has been working as a dental assistant since 1974. She started with Dr. Barker and Dr. Jackson and then worked with Dr. Seymore when he bought their practice, and now Dr. Russell. She worked on a prototype unit with Dr. Jackson and local cabinet maker, Bobby Matthews, which is now on display in the National Dental Museum. Her favorite aspect of dentistry is making anxious patients feel at ease and creating winning smiles. Outside of dentistry, she enjoys spending time with her husband in their RV at the beach, doing home improvement projects, and spoiling her grandkids!

 Molly Holton
Molly is the newest face on staff but is already making a positive impact in our office. She recently graduated from NC State and hopes to attend dental school in the future. Her favorite thing about her job is talking with patients and making their dental appointment something to look forward to instead of dread. When Molly is not at work, you can find her volunteering at the MERCI Clinic, at the barn with her horse, or at home with her “zoo”!
